ENERGY STARĀ® Incentives

Enjoy the reward of energy efficiency! UI provides valuable incentives for you when you purchase and install an electric central air conditioning or electric heat pump system that meets the required energy efficiency ratings. By getting the most energy-efficient equipment, you use less electricity while lowering your utility bill, and that's good for both you and the environment.

Between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008, all residential customers of UI are eligible to receive incentives on the following systems:

15 SEER / 11.5 EER >

Air to Air Heat Pump

15 SEER / 11.5 EER >

$500.00 per unit


Split Ductless A/C w/Inverter Technology

14 SEER

$300.00 per unit

15 SEER

$500.00 per unit


Split Ductless Air to Air Heat Pump w/Inverter Technology

15 SEER

$500.00 per unit


Just ask your contractor, or download the attached HVAC application to participate. Complete the form and mail it with a copy of your invoice listing the coil and condenser model numbers to the address listed on the application form. Be sure you read all the program requirements on the application.

Energy-efficient air conditioning installed after January 1, 2008 that meets the efficiency requirements qualifies for the program incentives.
