LED Incentives

By participating in the EO program, you may be eligible for special LED incentives. These incentives 
are supported by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund.

The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) and The United Illuminating Company (UI) have 
clustered LED categories into two groups to establish eligibility to receive incentives.

Group A – ENERGY STAR® List for LED Products

Qualified Commercial LED Lighting

  1. Recessed, surface and pendant-mounted down luminaires
  2. Under-cabinet, shelf-mounted task luminaires
  3. Wall wash luminaires
  4. Bollards

Qualified LED Light Bulbs

  1. Omnidirectional lamps: A, BT, P, PS, S, T
  2. Decorative lamps: B, BA, C, CA, DC, F, G
  3. Directional lamps: BR, ER, K, MR, PAR, R
  4. Non-standard lamps*

The product categories listed above require an ENERGY STAR rating and only luminaires from 
ENERGY STAR lists will be eligible for Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund program incentive.

 

Group B – DesignLight Consortium Qualified Product List for LED Products
  1. Outdoor pole/arm-mounted area and roadway luminaires
  2. Outdoor pole/arm-mounted decorative luminaires
  3. Outdoor wall-mounted area luminaires
  4. Bollards
  5. Wall wash luminaires
  6. Parking garage luminaires
  7. Fuel pump canopy
  8. Track or mono-point directional lighting luminaires
  9. Vertical refrigerated case lighting
  10. Horizontal refrigerated case lighting
  11. Display case lighting
  12. Linear panels (2x2 troffers)
  13. Linear panels (1x4 troffers)
  14. Linear panels (2x4 troffers)
  15. High-bay and low-bay fixtures for commercial and industrial buildings
  16. High-bay-aisle lighting

The requirements for the product categories listed above can be found on this link. Products not 
in these categories must be submitted and approved by DesignLight ™ Consortium.

Effective June 1, 2010, Group B Luminaries must be identified on the DesignLight Consortium 
qualified list to be eligible for Energy Efficiency Fund incentives. This includes any product which 
has previously been approved by CL&P/UI.
