Tiers and incentives

Advanced tier
Earn monthly rewards by setting and following a daily smart charge schedule. We work with your ready-by time to manage the amount of electricity your EV receives for maximum benefit to the grid and the maximum reward amount for you.
Automated smart charge scheduling
$25 monthly reward for smart charging and keeping on-peak charges to two or less per month
Baseline tier
Earn monthly rewards when 80% or more of your total home EV charging is at off-peak times.
Earn up to $120 annually for meeting the monthly charging requirements
Accumulated monthly rewards are paid quarterly in the month following the quarter's end. Link your PayPal or Venmo account in the ev.energy app to receive payouts. Please note that charging during peak times too often may make you ineligible to earn that month’s rewards.
Program advantages
Once you’re enrolled, get to know the features on the app or web portal that benefit you most.
Schedule off-peak charging sessions
To meet your selected tier’s monthly requirements and earn ongoing rewards, your off-peak charging session must be scheduled 9 p.m.–3 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends and holidays.
Advanced tier
Set a smart charge schedule in the ev.energy app that lets us know what time you need your EV charged by each day. You can skip a charging session at any time. To receive monthly rewards, do not override your smart charging sessions resulting in on-peak charging greater than 15 minutes more than two times per month.
Baseline tier
Schedule your charging to occur during off-peak periods as much as possible. If you do not meet the 80% monthly requirement, you will not earn a reward for that month. However, you do not lose your ability to earn rewards in future months.
Track your charging history
Easily reference your charge sessions month by month. Your history is listed in chronological order, where it was done (home or away) and how much energy was used (kWhs) for each charge.
