Applications are reviewed the 3rd week of each month.  If the request is for a sponsorship of an event, please allow at least one month’s notice.

Important Considerations

• CNG, SCG and UI do not fund organizations which discriminate based upon age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, family status or sexual orientation.
• Funding support will be for one year only.  We do not make multi-year commitments.
• Funding will not be considered for organizations that are not tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Service Code, individuals or politically-based organizations.

Speaker's Bureau

The United Illuminating Company offers presentations to organizations and service clubs free of charge throughout the year.  The presentations are available for community groups, schools, service organizations and senior centers interested in learning more about a variety of subjects, including electric utility restructuring, environmental responsibility, electrical safety, meter theft, emergency preparedness, billing issues, energy efficiency and careers in the utility industry.

To learn more about UI’s involvement in the community, or to request a speaker for your event, submit an  Request a Presentation  online form or contact Lori DeStefano at 203-499-3243. Please contact us at least three weeks in advance to request a speaker.  You will be contacted within three business days.
