Net metering describes the process of accurately measuring energy delivered and received by customers who have their own generation source.

You will not see any format changes.

 The Trans and Dist Rate line of your bill you will show which rate applies:

R = One time period
RT = Two Time Periods or Time of use
NE = Solar installation
Residential = Non-Commercial Location
Commercial = Non-Residential Location
kWh = The Electricity you have used in Kilowatt Hours
Meter = The device that measures the Electricity you have used and produced

The metering system measures how many kWh you have taken in and how many kWh you have put back out. UI will take the kWh you have put on the Grid and apply those kWh toward the kWh you've taken in. If the amount you generated exceeds what you have taken in, you will be billed and any excess will be banked and applied to the next months usage.

Your bill will remain the same with the exception of the total kWh billed.
