How the Make-Ready program works
Watch an overview of the advantages.
Steps to streamlined installation
1. Connect with your clients
Reach out to new and existing clients to let them know about the benefits of the Make-Ready program and that you are an approved contractor to install EV chargers.
2. Create a site design
Work with us and the site host to determine the best location for new charging stations.
3. Submit the application
On the site host’s behalf, submit the site design and application. We will assess eligibility and feasibility to determine the incentive amount.
4. Build the station
We work with you to build the necessary electrical infrastructure.
5. Receive payment
Once the charging stations are installed and activated, you or the site host must submit documentation and we provide the incentive payment.
While the Make-Ready program covers everything up to the chargers, other federal, state and local agencies offer complementary incentives for EV charging stations. Talk with us about other incentives your customers may be eligible for.

EV Charging Station Capacity and Underserved Communities Map
If you are planning to install DCFC stations or another large EV charging load, it is important to understand the site’s load capacity, which can dramatically affect costs. Click on Electrification Capacity in the load capacity map to access the correct EV charging load map and determine if a site can support new EV charging load. You can also determine if your customer’s site qualifies for incentives of up to 100%.
