What’s the power of adding EV charging stations?

Installing EV charging stations is good for business, good for your community and great for the future.

Demonstrate your commitment to carbon-free transportation and meet sustainability goals. Charging stations serve EV drivers in your community while drawing new visitors to local businesses and attractions.

Showcase your sustainability leadership, attract new customers and keep them on site longer. Charging stations can even open up a new revenue stream.

Because most charging happens at home, onsite stations are a highly valued amenity that boosts property value and tenant retention. Properties in disadvantaged communities may qualify for incentives covering up to 100%. Use our map to see if you’re eligible.

Reinforce your organization’s sustainability commitment while offering employees a valuable perk that helps attract and retain top talent.

With automakers rapidly expanding EV lineups and phasing out gas models, charging stations ensure your business is ready for the future.

Watch an overview of the advantages.

Steps to streamlined installation

1. Connect with your contractor

Your approved contractor can discuss your EV charger needs and the incentives of the Make-Ready program.

2. Create a site design

Work with your contractor and us and the site host to determine the best location for new charging stations.

3. Apply for the program

Your contractor will submit your site design and application. We will assess eligibility and feasibility to determine the incentive amount.

4. Build the station

We work with you to build the necessary electrical infrastructure.

5. Receive payment

Once the charging stations are installed and activated, you or your contractor must submit documentation and we provide the incentive payment.

Blue circle with I in the middle While the Make-Ready program covers everything up to the chargers, other federal, state and local agencies offer complementary incentives for EV charging stations. Talk with us about other incentives your customers may be eligible for.

EV charging rate options

We offer EV rates for commercial and industrial business customers with separately metered electric vehicle charging stations. Our EV rates are based on the non-demand metered option of two existing rate schedules: Rate General Service (GS) and Rate General Service Time-of-Use (GST). Our rate pricing page has full descriptions of available rate options. To update or make changes to your rates to support your new separately metered electric vehicle chargers, contact our call center at 800.722.5584.
