United Illuminating Announces Community Events To Help Customers Manage Bills and Keep the Lights On
ORANGE, Conn. — Feb. 18, 2020 — United Illuminating, in partnership with local Community Action Agencies and Operation Fuel, will host a series of outreach events to increase public awareness about energy assistance, winter service protection and other programs that can help customers pay their bills and maintain service all year long.
Customers are invited to attend the sessions to learn about payment arrangements, financial and medical hardships, matching payment programs, energy efficiency programs, winter service protection and more. UI, Operation Fuel and Community Action Agency staff will be on hand to answer customers’ questions during the two-hour sessions. Spanish-speaking personnel will also be available to assist.

- Tuesday, Feb. 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m., West Haven Community House, 227 Elm St., West Haven
- Wednesday, Feb. 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Hall Neighborhood House, 52 George E. Pipkin Way, Bridgeport
- Thursday, Feb. 27, 5-7 p.m., Doyle Senior Center, 153 Main St., Ansonia
- Tuesday, March 3, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Mercy Learning Center, 637 Park Ave., Bridgeport
